Cremio Engineering Ltd was engaged as a subcontractor by Kenya Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd (KETRACO) on two major national power infrastructure programmes: the Ethiopia–Kenya 500kV HVDC power systems interconnection, covering 201km of transmission line, and the Kindaruma–Mwingi–Garissa double-busbar 132kV substations with a 235km 132kV overhead transmission line.
Our scope on the substations covered equipment foundation excavation and concreting, equipment structure erection, control building construction, cable trench works, roadworks and drainage. On the 132kV and 500kV HVDC line, our team handled tower foundation setting-out, excavation, reinforcing steel binding and concreting, and tower erection.
